To mark the birthday of flutist and arranger Matan Klein, an exceptional evening pays tribute to four giants of Israeli song: Naomi Shemer, Haim Hefer, Miki Gavrielov, and Matti Caspi.
Their iconic melodies take on a new dimension through Matan’s original arrangements, blending jazz, groove, funk, reggae, swing, and African music. Songs that have become staples of Israel’s musical heritage are transformed into genuine jazz standards, giving full rein to rhythm, improvisation, and creative freedom.
